How to Find a Wedding Venue: Part 1 - 3 Top Tips
Congratulations on your engagement! After the excitement and celebration, one of the first biggest decisions is selecting a wedding venue. As a wedding planner, one of the most common questions I get from brides is how to find a unique and memorable venue. Here are the Top 3 things to consider when searching for a venue:
1. How many guests: Decide on the number of guests before you begin your search. The guest capacity is limited at some venues. Some as small as 50-75. Also, the size of your guest list can have a big impact on the cost of your venue.
2. One or two locations: Are you having your wedding ceremony and reception in one location or two. For example, some couples have their catholic ceremony in a church and the reception in another location.
3. Think about the time of year: Venues may have different availability and pricing depending on the season. For example, outdoor venues may be more affordable in the spring or fall, while indoor locations may be more budget-friendly in colder months.
